Global Engagement

At Kathmandu University, we recognize the importance of global engagement as a powerful initiative to expand our reach, promote meaningful collaborations, and foster academic exchange with prestigious international institutions. The Global Engagement Division (GED) was established under the Central Secretariat to advance these values and create a dynamic platform for global partnerships.

GED serves as a bridge between Kathmandu University and the international academic community. It represents our commitment to innovation, cross-cultural dialogue, and the pursuit of academic excellence through global collaboration. Our aim is to provide students, researchers, and faculty members with opportunities to engage in multi cultural experiences, including international research projects, exchange programs, and joint academic ventures.

By promoting a globally connected academic environment, GED strives to enhance Kathmandu University’s standing on the world stage, welcoming international students and scholars while empowering our own community to make meaningful contributions beyond national borders.

Our Objectives

To internationalize Kathmandu University by expanding its global presence and fostering diversity.

To promote academic exchanges that enrich learning and research for both students and faculty.

To build strong partnerships with global universities and research institutions.

To strengthen collaborations with national educational institutions for mutual academic growth.

Quality Education through Leadership

The GED has introduced guidelines titled Prospects of Increasing International Students at Kathmandu University, with the goal of raising the proportion of foreign students to 10% of the total student population across all schools in the near future.
